Maenad Fever ~ Dir. Tamara Cook ~ Morangup, Australia ~ 2021 ~ 18:05

'Do not forget us. We are here'. Haunted by visions of the Disappeared Ones, three women hear the calling to find their missing friend. Deep in the Australian wilderness, in an institution shrouded by religion and secrecy, girls are vanishing. Segregated from modern society, the women are kept in the past by their devout Brethren...

Beneath a facade of idyllic, rural beauty, the girls are forced to live in squalor and depravity, suffering horrific abuse from those entrusted to protect and educate them. This is the story of three women and their fight to save their sisters, survive, and find freedom. MAENAD FEVER is a celebration of the power of the Feminine Divine and is inspired by real events.
